Mission Statement

4-H is the national youth outreach program of the land grant universities and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The three 4-H mission mandates are Youth In Governance; Healthy Lifestyles; and Science, Engineering & Technology. Missouri 4-H has staff in almost every county to support comprehensive programs of clubs, camps, events, after-school, and in-school activities. The 4-H curriculum emphasizes science process skills, science reasoning, researched-based information, and careers in a wide range of disciplines including agriculture, health, environment, aerospace, computers, and social sciences within the context of positive youth development- leadership, citizenship, character, life-skills, positive adult partnerships, service learning, and self-motivated learning. Missouri 4-H is a program of the University of Missouri and Lincoln University.
