CodeNow New York

Mission Statement

CodeNow is a nonprofit focused on teaching under-represented youth to code. More than 45% of our students are young women. We provide free, out-of-school training to high-schoolers hosted at local tech companies. The core of our program is in-person training supported with outside learning. Through hands-on project based learning, we teach students to look under the hood of technology so they can understand it is for them. We are currently offering workshops and meetups in New York City and San Francisco, and expanding to other cities soon.
