Mission Statement

December 12-18, 2016 the USA Table Tennis will host players of the sport from all over the world to an international Paralympic division event of this exciting sport. Players in wheelchairs and with disabilities who play standing will compete for honors in this exciting sport. In addition, an international seminar to train technical and medical personnel who support the conduct of this sport . Volunteers are needed to help with all aspects of this event, including assist with wheelchair transport, retrieval of ping pong balls for disabled players, assist with distributing lunches, and hospitality concerns

Description

USA Table Tennis is the National governing organization for the Olympic and Paralympic competition. The Para Table Tennis division specifically provides the competition, organization, and technical training for players and staff to enable conduct of these competitions. The US Para Open Table Tennis Tournament being held in Las Vegas, NV is the only internationally ranked Para tournament being held in the USA in 2016 and will afford players from throughout the world to earn ranking points that will advance them towards eligibility for regional and World Championship participation. Progams of this magnitude are heavily reliant on volunteer support on all levels for successful execution. Volunteer job descriptions and training will be provided by USATT support staff.
