We are looking for a program manager to volunteer their time to help assist our organization with the Program Piece. We currently run a fully active mentor program and are hoping to have our tutoring program fulling running. The program manager would be in control of the following: Identifies or verifies an unmet that the organization should act upon Identifies resources needed to manage the program such as funding requirements, facilities and supplies, and support staff Designs strategy and processes Measure and report on outcomes Seeking grants or fundraisers that the organization can apply for to support specific programs Report to the Board once a month on the progress being made If this is something you are interested in, please email childrenstrivingtogether@gmail.com and or follow this link so that we can interview you and see how you can assist. Mentorship is an important aspect that all individuals can benefit from. Within CST, we have started our very own mentorship program that consists of 20 young people over an 8-week period. Each cohort consist of the following: -6 facilitated workshops -1 team-building field trip -1 overnight retreat Within the mentorship cohort, the youth are able to learn about the following: -Self Care -Financial Literacy -Anti-Bullying & Self Love -Higher Education -Sex Education (for older children) -Health & Fitness -Entrepreneurship There will be 4 cohorts for the year and they will be listed as follows: January 21-March 11 for High School April 15-June 3 for Junior High School July 8-August 26 for Elementary School Sept 23-November 11th High School The time will be 1-4 pm for 6 workshop days, 9-6 for 1 field trip day, and 4 pm-12noon the next day for an overnight retreat day. Position Summary: As a Volunteer Grant Writer or Grant Researcher, you will play a critical role in advancing our organization’s capacity to serve more youth. Volunteers in these roles will be responsible for identifying, researching, and drafting grant proposals to secure funding for CST’s programs and initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Grant Writer: Research and analyze grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources Prepare, write, and edit high-quality grant proposals and letters of inquiry that align with CST’s goals and priorities Collaborate with CST’s program directors and team to gather relevant data and success stories for grant applications Track application deadlines, submission dates, and grant reporting requirements Grant Researcher: Identify potential grant funding sources by researching foundations, corporations, government entities, and other funding opportunities Compile a database or organized list of prospective grants that align with CST’s program objectives Maintain up-to-date records of all research findings, application requirements, and deadlines Provide summaries of grant opportunities to the CST team for review
