Mission Statement
Stonesoup Coffeehouse (run by the Stone Soup Folk Arts Foundation) was organized for the purpose of fostering and promoting the folk arts, especially folk music in the Pawtucket, RI area.
.
Description
Twenty-seven years ago several RI musicians and songwriters were inspired by Pete Seeger to share their music with each other and a wider audience. Stone Soup Folk Arts Foundation and Stone Soup Coffeehouse resulted. Stone Soup Coffeehouse is now one of the oldest and largest coffeehouse venues in New England , presenting live music most Saturday nights from September through the end of May. In addition, we actively cooperate with the City of Pawtucket in promoting the Pawtucket Arts Festival and sponsoring the Stone Soup stage as part of that festival. Stonesoup Coffeehouse is a success due to the hard work of its volunteer board of directors and the many volunteers who help out at individual shows.
