Mission Statement

University Churches Emergency Fund empowers people in North Seattle to get into housing or keep the housing they have through compassionate listening, referral, and financial assistance.

The churches of the University District created UCEF in 1986 as a program to prevent and alleviate homelessness without regard to religion, ethnicity, and gender.

Description

University Churches Emergency Fund is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:30AM-12:30PM. We assist with move-in costs, rent, utilities, phone, shelter, storage, bus tickets, a snack lunch, hygiene items, and a clothing voucher to the thrift store. Clients who are ellegible may receive $50 -$100 once a year. We assist those in need in the following zip ciodes: 98103, 98105, 98107, 98115, 98125, and 98133 in Seattle (not Shoreline).
