Mission Statement

For 61 years, the Children’s Developmental Center has been assisting children with special needs, in Lorain County and western Cuyahoga County, reach their maximum potential by providing comprehensive and diverse therapies designed to help them succeed in school and in life.

Description

Since 1954. Children's Developmental Center has been committed to improving the lives of children with special needs and their families. Based in Amherst, the Children's Developmental Center is a non-profit organization that provides Outpatient Services, School-Based Services and Therapuetic Summer Camps to help children with special needs achieve their maximum potential. Therapy services offered at Children's Developmental Center includes:

  • Speech Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Psychological Counseling
  • Audiology

Last year, we served more than 1,200 children with special needs through our integrated Outpatient, School-Based and Summer Camp programs.
