Mission Statement

The mission of the DNR Parks and Recreation Division Stewardship Unit is to preserve, protect and restore the natural cultural and ethnological resources present within Recreation Division administered lands for this and future generations.

Description

PRD Stewardship Unit engages volunteers with habitat restoration projects designed to best protect habitat for species of greatest conservation need in Michigan State Parks in SW and SE Michigan. Our Volunteer Steward program pairs volunteers with professional stewards to enjoy our wonderful state parks while learning and giving back to the environment.
