Mission Statement

The mission of C.A.P.R.E.C.I.A. Cares is to mentor and empower the lives of at-risk teen girls by teaching them to become effective change agents in their own lives.

Description

C.A.P.R.E.C.I.A. Cares provides mentorship programs to address the needs of at-risk teen girls in Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia. The programs are structured to mentor and empower girls by focusing on the issues they face each day, such as low self-esteem, drugs and violence, abusive homes, strained family relationships, negative peer pressure, and academic failure.

The program is a series of workshops, Girl Talk sessions, and seminars. Mentors are matched with mentees to help girls in the community becoming successful young women.
