Mission Statement

Our mission is to enhance and advance economic and financial education for North Carolina's teachers and students.

Description

In 1970, the North Carolina Council on Economic Education (NCCEE) was founded with one goal in mind - to enhance and advance economic and financial education for K-12 educators and students of North Carolina.

Today, our non-profit organization provides financial literacy courses, workshops and programs, as well as economic education training to more than 1,500 North Carolina teachers a year. Through our economic education programs, we directly reach more than 20,000 students a year and indirectly reach another 100,000 via better prepared teachers. With support from private businesses and foundations, as well as through partnerships with state agencies, the NCCEE is a tremendous example of an effective public-private partnership.
