Mission Statement

No need is too small and no voice is too quiet to be heard. We will devote the time and energy necessary to educate, advocate and feed. At Helping Hands, Caring Hearts, we strive to show God's love in a practical way by serving home cooked meals to homeless men, women and children throughout the Pomona Valley on a weekly basis.

"HHCH started 11 years ago when I gave a cup of soup to one homeless man living in a dumpster enclosure behind the store where my son worked. The next week he went into the store and told everyone how much he enjoyed that cup of soup. When my son came home and told me how much "Frank" liked the soup, I decided right then and there that I wanted to cook for him each week. A few days later, I found "Frank" and asked if it would be alright if I cooked him a nice home-cooked meal each Sunday. The following Sunday I took him a chicken dinner and when I arrived, there were two of them. Each week the numbers increased. "

"Now, 11 years later, we are feeding 120-150 homeless and families at risk, on a weekly basis. In addition to our Sunday meal, we have a food pantry, a clothing ministry, a bike repair ministry and we give away pet food for all of their furry friends. "
