Description

From its early beginnings in 1947 as an affiliate of the National Urban League, The Dayton Urban League has distinguished itself as a community-based organization that in concert with a number of corporate, government and nonprofit organizations create economic opportunities for people of the Miami Valley Region through workforce development and in-school and after school academic enrichment.

The League serves over 3,000 people annually in Montgomery, Greene, Darke, Preble and Warren Counties. For two years, the League had the privilege of operating a statewide employment project that, in addition to those served locally, provided employment services to another 4,000 people.
