Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower people with disabilities and other disadvantages to achieve independence and improve their quality of life.

Description

When Goodwill Industries Dayton and Easter Seals agencies combined in 1999 to become what is now known as Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley, we had only just begun to realize the impact we could have on the lives of people with disabilities throughout our community. Our mission became more clean; help as many people with disabilities as possible and empower them in their journeys toward independence.

By becoming one agency with a single purpose, we are able to offer more service to more people than ever before. As one of only seven combined Goodwill Easter Seals agencies in the United States, we provide a broad range of services affecting infants and youth, working adults, seniors and the community.

I completed a online program for Goodwill Easter seals a couple of years ago. The staff was a blessing to me. They were sharp about time management. They executed the data shared and learned from there teachings. I still try to stay in contact with a special lady there. Yes I recommend this company to anyone for the type of assistance they offer. I was impressed. I earned my certificate. Great people. God Bless

The compassion I observed shown toward the many clients that are serviced by Goodwill Easter Seals was breathtaking. I worked in the Computer Lab and it was a blessing to be able to assist and guide the clients in how to better utilize computers. Many of the clients I dealt with appreciated learning that there was more than one way to search jobs on the internet, and that a cover letter is their first impression on an employer. The clients were nice, the staff at Goodwill was patient and I would recommend others to volunteer here. I especially enjoyed working the Vision Fair held at Goodwill.
