Mission Statement

Our mission is to develop a community in which those who live or find themselves in Hyde Park may have an enjoyable time, safe experience and quality life. We work to revitalize our urban neighborhood and create development, while celebrating and preserving its rich historic character and value.

Description

Bi-Annual Historic Homes Tour.
 Homeowners in the neighborhood (usually 6-8 homes) open their homes for visitors on tour. Tickets are sold for $12.00 with discounts for seniors, students, and early purchases. Ticket sales are used to offset costs of the event and to provide funds for the neighborhood to continue its revitalization efforts and attract visitors and new residents. Neighborhood volunteers escort tour-goers through the homes. The goal of this event is to promote living in Hyde Park and to dispel negative images of midtown historic neighborhoods. The number of volunteers needed to successfully run the event also brings residents together in a joint effort to promote the neighborhood.
