Wings of Hope Hospice enfolds you in loving care. Wings of Hope is established upon the personal encounter with death of our founder, Dr. Angela Katz, and her survival and recovery following dramatic surgery and multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and upon her deep belief that every life has value, every day is special, and every moment of life should be cherished. The Wings of Hope Volunteer Program provides care as friendly visitors from that perspective to enhance the physical, social, psychological, emotional and spiritual quality of life of the persons we serve and those who love and care for them. We are associated with the We Honor Veterans Program and provide volunteer services staffed by Veterans for Veterans. Our team of dedicated volunteers, supported by professional staff and ongoing hospice care education and training, are truly the valued heartbeat of our Wings.
Wings of Hope Hospice and Palliative Care emphasizes quality of life outcomes for the persons we serve and those who care for them. The full range of services includes nursing and physician in-home visits to evaluate and meet medical needs. Under the direction of the patient's physician, social work services and counseling are provided to patient and significant persons to meet needs arising from medical, psychological, financial and daily living distress. Counseling to meet spiritual, bereavement, and grief recovery, etc., are also provided. Certified Nursing Aides provide patient personal care services along with light housekeeping as part of their nurse supervised services. We are associated with the We Honor Veterans Program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Veterans Administration and are Medicare Certified as an authorized provider of hospice and palliative care.
