Mission Statement

To bring volunteers together to help homeowners rebuild after a natural disaster.

Description

Eight Days of Hope participates in 1 or more rebuilding events each year in a region affected by natural disaster. Volunteers provide the labor. Food and lodging are provided at no cost to the volunteers. Volunteers who are not skilled in the construction trades are welcome as well as those who are skilled construction workers.

After working with them for a week in Tupelo, Ms. I have no doupt of their sincerity and compassion, but also their desire to honor God, giving Him all the Glory. Our and over again they point to Jesus as the one doing the work and not us. Although we are performing physical labor the real object is to show God's love.
