Mission Statement

"We envision a world where humankind accepts the obligations of being part of nature, especially the obligation of stewardship. We seek to shape a culture in which the violation of nature is socially, politically, and morally unacceptable. In short, we seek a culture of conservation and an environmental ethic." Preamble, Audubon Strategic Plan, June 18, 1995.

Description

Over 600 members who enjoy birding, educating youth and adults about birds and bird lore have been meeting and sharing the fascinating world of birds with the community for nearly a century.

Outreach to about 2000 local children each year; monthly programs, frequent wildlife viewing trips, regularly table at community and regional functions.

Growth in membership over the past two years places new demands on our old organization.
