Housing Options

Description

Housing Options provides affordable housing and case management services for more than 74 adults recovering from mental illnesses, more than half of whom have been homeless at some point in their lives. Residents are provided with fully furnished, low cost apartments usually with one or two roommates though each resident has a private bedroom. The agency also provides non-residential case management to adults living independently or with family.

A team of case managers supports Housing Options' clients in their recoveries, helping them to identify goals and take steps to manage their symptoms and achieve a fulfilling recovery. Clients also participate in life skils and support groups like spirituality in recovery and healthy cooking groups as well as community events like bimonthly dinners and an annual retreat. Housing Options also encourages residents to integrate themselves into the larger community and many work, volunteer, or take college classes.
