Mission Statement

Mayor Ronald V. Dellums' Summit on Women will kick-

off a series of community activities to enlighten,

engage, and empower women and families of Oakland

and the greater Bay Area.

As a part of the Mayor's Model City Summit series, this

Summit will celebrate women's lives and devote itself

to bringing women together to share knowledge,

power, and resources to improve their quality of life.

Description

This is a city-wide effort gathering the community for a

diverse and multi-dimensional conversation with

workshops to offer something for Oaklanders of all

backgrounds.

To accomplish the mission - the summit will provide a

setting for:

1. Multicultural dialogue and unity;

2. Intergenerational learning opportunities;

3. Opportunities for community engagement;

4. Enhancement of economic development;

5. Civic engagement and activity; and,

6. Enlightened and healthy living
