To help children succeed in school by bringing community volunteers into the classrooms and homework centers.

Description

MCSV meets the needs of both the volunteer and the schools looking for assistance. Volunteers are referred to more than 40 schools and programs in Marin. Over 300 volunteers are working with children from age 5 to 18 years. Volunteers can work one on one tutoring or assist teachers in the classroom. The time commitment is on an individual basis but attendance at an orientation, a personal interview, TB clearance and fingerprint clearance are required.
