Mission Statement
ACT is a 501(c)(3) organization of volunteers committed to improving the health, education and well-being of children from our community’s low-income families. Through the annual ACT Kids Health Fair, ACT improves and enhances the quality of life for children, their families, and the community in which they live.
Description
The Arizona Coalition for Tomorrow is committed to improving the health and education preparedness of low-income children by providing the environment for comprehensive health screenings and immunizations through an annual health fair. ACT serves at-risk children that lack the medical clearances necessary to attend elementary school or participate in metro Phoenix Head Start programs. ACT provides a one-stop location for all health screening and immunization services, including referral emergency care as needed. Children range from infants to 12 years old. These federally required, but unfunded, health screenings are necessary to participate in Head Start Programs. We also seek-out,encourage, and include non-Head Start children. ACT is composed of all Volunteers.
