Mission Statement

We believe people can better themselves if they are given the tools and support to increase their literacy. We help adults further their English and Literacy skills in a non-discriminatory and encouraging environment. We help adults who want to obtain their GEDs. We also help adults who are learning English as a second language (ESL).

Description

Madison County Reads Ahead coordinates literacy services in several Madison County libraries. Through one-to-one tutoring local literacy volunteers assist adult students in three groups to reach their educational goals: Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language and GED Exam preparation.
