Description

TCi is a community rehabilitation program that provides services to persons with disabilities, ages 16 and over. We serve all types of disabilities, physical, emotional and intellectual. Some people we serve participate in longterm programs and others in short term programs. Persons served learn appropriate work behaviors. Actual work is performed and trainees are paid for work. Types of work include assembly, inspection, material handling, and housekeeping. Tasks include very simple tasks to building printed circuit board and wiring harnesses. Individuals served participate in appropriate classes, such as job seeking/keeping, empowerment, barriers to employment and drivers education. Last fiscal year, TCI served 529 individuals. Most were residents of Nash, Edgecombe, Halifax, Northampton and Wilson counties.
