Description

Vision: Everyone should have a safe, stable place to call home. Homelessness should be rare, brief, and non­recurring. The Brevard Homeless Coalition (BHC) is established as the Lead Agent for the Continuum of Care (CoC) in Brevard County (non-profit 501(c)3 corporation). It has a strong, active board operational consisting of a combination of concerned civic leaders, companies, organizations, citizens and frontline providers. The acknowledged best practice of Housing First has been adopted. A Co-ordinated Assessment process has been implemented. A highly successful focus on Veterans has shown that the model works. 60 individuals and/or families have been housed since July 1st project launch. 40 Families and 75 individuals are identified, prioritized, and in line for appropriate housing interventions.
