Office Volunteer

Support your local hospice program by completing administrative tasks in the office such as filing, answering phones, assisting with preparing medical supplies for delivery to patients, completing weekly admin tasks for the volunteer and bereavement departments. Some of these tasks can be completed remotely and would work well for individuals who are unable to come to our office. Training and orientation will be provided. You do not need to work directly with patients to provide them with a tremendous amount of support! Days and hours are flexible, and your time is greatly appreciated!

Reiki Therapy

ideal volunteer candidate should be a trained Reiki therapist at least a level 2 and be a patient and compassionate individual. Volunteers provide spiritual and physical healing to our patients. Hospice volunteers typically experience a great deal of satisfaction from their service and develop strong bonds with the patients they visit. Credit for community service is available as well as valuable experiences and contacts in the healthcare industry. Volunteer training is provided as well as ongoing support and education opportunities to be sure you feel ready and equipped to help our patients. Our Reiki volunteers would be providing Reiki therapy to any patient who is interested or is in need. Music Companion

Hospice Companionship Volunteers Needed

Elevation Home, Health and Hospice Agency based in Arvada, CO is looking for compassionate and caring volunteers who are interested in working in end-of-life. We can tailor volunteer experience to each persons unique skills, passion, and interest. This could be spending time through companionship, listening to life stories, light cleaning, light yard work, assisting in admin work, bereavement support, event planning, art, beauty services... whatever you are interested in we will try our best to make it happen! We have a variety of locations where our patients live in the Boulder/Louisville/Arvada/Denver/Parker Area. We will do our best to make drive time as minimal as possible also taking into consideration most impactful experience for our patients, families and volunteers. Flexible hours once through 12-hour orientation with volunteer coordinator. As a volunteer, we do require training in the office and out in the field with our clinicians. Elevation Hospice of Colorado was established in 2015 to provide an elevated level of hospice care focusing on the comfort, peace, and support of patients and their families. Elevation Hospice was born out of a desire to provide elevated level of services to clients and their families to assist them in managing the challenges of a life-limiting condition.

Be aware that the bereavement coordinator has difficulty reading cursive handwriting so print all cards and envelopes. You will spend time waiting for the Business Office Manager to print items she needs you to handle so bring a charged phone to surf. Volunteer where your time is valued.

I've been volunteering with Elevation for almost 8 months now, and it's been such a transformative experience. A wonderful organization who value their staff and definitely put their heart and soul into their work. When I had a death in the family, they understood my need to have time off and were supportive in so many ways. Through my time here, I have met many wonderful people and have felt my heart expand tenfold. If you are interested in hospice work, definitely reach out to them to learn more!
