Hospice is about living. Hospice neither hastens nor pospones death, but affirms life, emphasizing dignity and comfort while enhancing quality of life for the person coping with a life limiting illness.

Hospice treats the person, not the disease and focuses on the entire family, not just the individual.

Hospice is not just a place. It is a medical and philosophical approach to care. Hospice care may be delivererd in the person's home or in a hospital, nursing home, assisted living center, or hospice facility
