Mission Statement

Friends of the World Food Program is a US-based non-profit organization dedicated to building support for the World Food Program (WFP)-- the United Nations' lead humanitarian agency in the fight against global hunger.
Our mission is to:
Increase awareness about global hunger issues
Mobilize support for hunger relief programs and activities
Generate resources for WFP operations and other activities that alleviate hunger


Description

You can help Friends of WFP support WFP as it takes meals to schools, provides lifesaving nutrition to pregnant women, newborns, nad those suffering from HIV/AIDS, trains people to farm and rebuild their roads and bridges, and flies in aid to those rendered nearly inaccessible by armed conflict, floods, hurricanes, and other disasters. Your participation in events held by the Santa Cruz committee for the Friends of the WFP will help in fundraising and raising awareness for the WFP cause.
