About The Love Story The Love Story is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming pain into creative expression through Artist-Inspired Expressive Writing workshops, mentorship, and publishing. Our programs, including the Mirror Darkly Expressive Writing Workshops, provide a supportive, reflective space for participants to process personal experiences and find empowerment through storytelling. Position Overview The Marketing Director will lead the strategy and implementation of The Love Story’s marketing efforts to increase awareness, engagement, and participation in our programs. This role involves overseeing content creation, social media, email marketing, and partnership development, ensuring our mission reaches a broader audience. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, passionate about mental health, storytelling, and community engagement. Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote The Love Story’s mission, programs, and impact. Manage and oversee content across all social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and engagement. Create compelling email campaigns and newsletters to update supporters and engage new audiences. Collaborate with team members to design marketing materials, including graphics, blogs, videos, and event promotions. Identify and cultivate partnerships with like-minded organizations, influencers, and media outlets to amplify our reach. Analyze and report on marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations to refine our strategies. Qualifications Proven experience in marketing, communications, or digital media, ideally in a nonprofit or community-oriented setting. Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a track record of creating successful marketing campaigns. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp), and design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). Ability to work independently, lead a team of volunteers, and manage multiple projects. A passion for mental health advocacy, expressive writing, and creative community-building. Volunteer Opportunity: Writing Workshop Facilitator Commitment: 3 hours per week for 15 weeks Location: Online or in person within your local community About Us: The Love Story Media, Inc. is dedicated to fostering creativity, self-expression, and community engagement through the power of writing. Our workshops provide a supportive space where individuals from diverse backgrounds can explore their voice, feel and heal, while sharing their stories. Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Writing Workshop Facilitator to lead weekly workshops for our participants. The facilitator will guide participants through writing exercises, encourage sharing, and resonating to help them develop their voice. If you have a love for storytelling, a desire to inspire others, and experience in leading groups, we’d love to hear from you! Responsibilities: Facilitate a weekly 1-hour writing workshop for a group of participants three times a week. Facilitate with writing prompts, space to journal, and energy to inspire creativity. Provide constructive, supportive prompting to help participants on their writing. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where all participants feel valued. Offer guidance on writing prompts, style, and storytelling. Collaborate with the Writing Director to track participants' progress and address any challenges. Commit to 3 hours a week, including prep time, for the duration of 15-weeks. Qualifications: Strong background in creative writing (fiction, poetry, memoir, etc.) or experience as a professional writer. Prior experience facilitating writing workshops or teaching writing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create an encouraging and supportive environment for writers of all skill levels.
