Mission Statement

NYEI's mission is to promote and coordinate recreational activities for at-risk children between the ages of 6-18 years. We appeal to under-privileged children from low-income families in Suffolk County who are often unable to afford to pay for their recreational activities.

Description

National Youth Empowerment, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit charitable organization established in 2008 with the aim of coordinating recreational activities for at-risk children in Suffolk County, New York. NYEI offers a broad array of activities which will contribute to foster personal growth and positively affect other areas of our childrens’ lives.

We take the initiative to select at-risk children, determine their areas of interest, coordinate a suitable activity for the child, and provide financial assistance to pay for and attend the lessons. We aim to show children that with hard work and discipline, they can excel at their chosen activity. If we can get children excited about themselves, they will start to dream about their future. Children who are excited about their futures are less likely to jeopardize it with reckless decisions.
