Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) is New England's leading legal rights organization dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation, HIV status and gender identity and expression.

Description

GLAD is legal organization doing impact litigation and education around the issues of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and AIDS/HIV status in the six New England states. GLAD has a staff of 11, including 3 litigating attorneys. GLAD has argued cases before the Unites States Supreme Court two times. Annually, GLAD assists over 3,000 individuals through a New England wide, toll free information hotline. GLAD has been making civil rights history since 1978.
