Mission Statement

Be a Leader in the Fight Against Cancer! The American Cancer Society Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to end cancer. Funds raised through Relay For Life enable the Society to help people facing the disease today, educate people about how to reduce their risk for cancer or detect it early when it’s the easiest to treat, and fund cancer research that will help protect future generations.

Description

Relay For Life of Shawnee County is looking for volunteers to join the Event Leadership Team. This committee meets once a month and plans the annual Relay For Life event that will be held June 3, 2016.

We need people like you to join the Relay movement and help multiply our efforts to eliminate cancer as a public health problem. Make a tangible impact in the fight against cancer and gain valuable leadership skills, all while planning a fun, family-friendly community event.
