Description

CRIS is a statewide non profit that provides 24 hour a day/7 days a week that broadcasts from four regional satellite studios in Danbury, Norwich, Trumbull, and West Haven and its broadcast center in Windsor. CRIS reads and broadcasts from over 100 publications to provide access to current print information for those who are blind or print handicapped, including those who have ALS, severe arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons, brain injury, strokes and other physical disabilities which make handling print material difficult. CRIS operates with a staff of 3 1/2 and 400 trained volunteers.
