Mission Statement

The Los Alamos County Library System is dedicated to enriching our community by ensuring easy and equal access to a variety of ideas, current information, and evolving services for all.

Description

We are a full-service public library with a main facility and a branch. We have 270,000 visits per year and circulate 360,000 items per year. In addition to traditional library services, we also offer public Internet access, Home Delivery, monthly lecture and film series, and an art gallery, and other programming. We also do lots of youth programming for youth of all ages, including video games for teens. We are open 64 hours per week, and seven days per week. Our Friends' group operates a bookstore in the lobby. Our main facility, the Mesa Public Library, was designed by Antoine Predoc and won architectural awards.
