Mission Statement

The DSG of Southeast Michigan will provide support, resources and advocacy for individuals with Down syndrome, their families and caregivers with the goal of increasing opportunities and awareness. The DSG provides resources and support to parents, educators and medical professionals. We also provide scholarship funds. We strive to increase public awareness and understanding and acceptance about the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome.

Description

The DSG has been meeting the unique needs of persons with Down syndrome and their families for over 25 years. We provide programs and services opening a world of opportunity for people with Down syndrome. We strive to provide an atmostphere where we can learn from each other and from professionals who know our children and adults. The DSG of Southeast MI is proud to be affiliated with NDSS and NDSC and DSAIA. These organizations work on areas such as research, governmental affairs, and disseminating pertinent information in addition, they help to support our goals.
