Matrix Parent Network and Resource Center

Description

Matrix Parent Network and Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) organization formed to serve families of children with special needs in the North Bay. Matrix was founded upon the belief that parents can and must be the primary managers and advocates on behalf of their disabled child. Parent-to-parent support and networking is central to the Matrix philosophy -- it is powerful, effective, and allows us to continue expanding our services in the communities we serve. Serving the counties of Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and Solano, Matrix services include: Support Groups (including Yahoo! groups); Training & Workshops; HELP line; Lending Libraries; Parent-to-Parent support and IEP consultation; Print and Email Newsletters; Information Packets; and an informational Website. Services are provided free of charge and available in English and Spanish.

Matrix is also a federally funded Parent Training and Information Center and a state funded Family Resource Center and Family Empowerment Center. In addition to federal and state funds, Matrix is supported by the generosity of private foundations, corporations, and individuals.
