Our Next Generation

Description

Our Next Generation focuses on improving the educational outcomes and the life skills of the children in the 35 th & Lisbon (Milwaukee) community. The agency, founded in 1992, works with parents, volunteers, and school administration and teachers to help build a solid academic and personal foundation for enrolled students. We provide quality after-school programming Monday through Friday for K4 through 12 th grade students. Our school year and summer programs provide a holistic approach to learning, which help our students improve their academic proficiencies and overall attitude towards learning. Our programs help students improve their academic outcomes, graduate from high school and ultimately become productive, responsible citizens. Our Next Generation is supported by public, community and corporate foundations and through the generosity of hundreds of individual donors. We recruit a stable source of volunteers each year and for the 2010-11 school year (starting mid-September) we will need 50-75 NEW volunteers in our after-school programs.
