Mission Statement
The Navigators Mentoring Program enhances resiliency and develops assets among our students by providing mentors who empower each child to thrive academically, socially and emotionally as they navigate the 6th through 8th grades.
Description
Do you get an hour for lunch? If so - consider using it to change the course of a young person's life. Navigators is a school-based mentoring program where mentors meet with their match one day a week during lunch on the school campus. The mentoring is in small groups, and includes structured, supervised activities to help students prepare for, and transition to, the next grade level (students are 6th - 8th grade). Mentors and mentees will also work together as a group to plan and carry out a community service project once a quarter.
