Mission Statement

The Hospice philosophy preserves the independence, dignity and personal choices of the patient. The focus is on the patient, family and quality of life. The Hospice concept attempts to keep intact the independence, dignity and personal choices of the patient while providing medical treatment and relief.

PEC Hospice believes that life and death are sacred.

PEC Hospice helps people live until they die without pain or the fear of dying alone without dignity or control.

PEC Hospice offers a plan of action in which patients have palliative, rather than curative treatment for symptoms of the illness, as well as, support for physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

PEC Hospice believe that patients are important participants in making decisions that affect their care.

Death is not extinguishing the light... It is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.

PEC Hospice provides services not available in a traditional health care setting. The hospice team provides services that allow the patient to stay at home with family or other caregivers.

PEC Hospice provides the following interdisciplinary team services:

Skilled Nursing Care

Social Services for the patient and family

Pain Control and Symptom Management

Psychosocial and Social Counseling

Spiritual Support

Medical Supplies and Equipment
