Mission Statement

Buffalo First is a coalition of 200 individuals, organizations and local independent businesses committed to building a more local, green and fair economy in Buffalo, NY.

Description

In order to create a more local, green and fair economy in Buffalo we are involved with many projects. We produce an annual directory of local, independent businesses so consumers are aware of how to spend money locally. We have monthly events educating the public on issues such as local food sourcing, reducing our impact on the environment and how to strengthen our local economy. We also set up tables at local festivals and farmers markets to promote the organziation. Buffalo First is one of 60 networks throughout North America that make up the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies ( BALLE).
