Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Our Core Values Girls on the Run honors its core values. We strive to: Recognize our power and responsibility to be intentional in our decision making Embrace our differences and find strength in our connectedness Express joy, optimism and gratitude through our words, thoughts and actions Nurture our physical, emotional and spiritual health Lead with an open heart and assume positive intent Stand up for ourselves and others
Girls on the Run Vermont was founded in 1999, with 15 girls participating in the pilot program. The Vermont GOTR council has greatly expanded throughout the state during the past fourteen years, with over 3,000 girls participating in the 2013 season, all helped and encouraged by more than 650 volunteer coaches! We also had more than 144 sites offering Girls on the Run and/or Girls on Track programs, a 32% increase from the year before! In the last 5 years, both the number of girls participating and the number of locations has doubled, and we are continuing to grow at a rapid rate, with more families, schools and communities hearing what an amazing life-changing experience GOTRVT is giving to so many girls across the state.
