THE MISSION OF LIBERTY STATE PARK IS TO PROVIDE THE PUBLIC WITH ACCESS TO THE HARBOR’S RESOURCES, A SENSE OF ITS HISTORY AND THE CHARGE OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR ITS CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT.

Description

Located on the southern shores of the New York/New Jersey Harbor Estuary, Liberty State Park is significant as both a natural and historic cultural resource. The park provides numerous opportunities for visitors to enjoy and learn about nature in an otherwise predominantly urban setting.
