"Believing in the presence of God, the value of human life and the dignity of the individual, the mission of Lutheran Homes of South Carolina, as a ministry of the church, is to promote the well-being of older adults by providing residential, health care and hospice services".
For more than 100 years, the Lutheran Church has provided Christ-centered care for older adults. Lutheran Homes of South Carolina, a non-profit organization, embraces that tradition by providing the finest in continuing care retirement living and hospice services.
We are dedicated to assuring that residents lead quality lives in a Christian community where people of all faiths are welcome. Our goal is to make the retirement years the most vibrant years for our residents. We do this by providing a variety of communities with numerous residential options to fit the lifestyle and health needs of the individual. Our residents enjoy their independence, while at the same time know with assurance that their health and security needs are being met. Our goal is to help every resident and hospice patient to "Live Life to its Fullest."
Five Communities, A Single Mission
Lutheran Homes of South Carolina realizes that today's older adults approaching retirement have different needs and desires than in years past. An active lifestyle, enriching activities and a variety of residential options are important elements. Most people retiring today are looking at anything but slowing down.
Lutheran Homes is changing with today's retirees. Our communities offer lifestyle and residential options designed for today's active older adults. Single family cottages and spacious apartments for independent adults offer a secure, active lifestyle opportunity. Some of our communities provide a resort-like setting, which makes retirement seem almost like a vacation.
All of our communities provide excellent care for the individual by people who love what they do, and do it well. Comprehensive care is provided by Lutheran Homes, including assisted living and nursing care, memory support and specialized therapies. No one wants to think they will ever need medical care, but the reality is that as we get older, we will have needs in this area.
Lutheran Homes of South Carolina has made it a priority to provide a high level of continuing care at all of its communities, large or small. This affords residents a level of comfort that allows them to concentrate on having full and activity-filled lives without worry. We own and operate five communities, each individually different, but sharing a single mission. Each community is unique and provides a variety of lifestyle options.
