Best volunteer experience ever! Amedisys Hospice's Volunteer Coordinator Tracy is so sweet and down to earth. She paired me with a perfect family for me to work with on a weekly basis so that the caregiver could take a break. Tracy also set me up to visit patients at one of our local nursing homes which is close to my home. I go there once a week on my own schedule. The training is free, easy to understand, and Tracy keeps everything so simple. This experience is just what I needed at this point in my life. I always get so much more back than I give. I absolutely love volunteering with Amedisys Hospice. I cant explain the joy and sense of pride that it brings to support people in their last days and be a light to their loved ones during this difficult time in their life. You'd be surprised how many people need this support and what a difference you can make in their life.
