Description

Wild Heir Labrador Rescue is a LABor of love on behalf of unwanted Labrador Retrievers. Informally begun in 2001 and becoming "official" in 2005, WHLR has placed nearly 400 wonderful Labs into loving, responsible homes. We are dedicated to saving Labs from life threatening situations. Our rescued retrievers come from a variety of sources in SC, NC and beyond - animal control facilities, humane societies, owner surrender and Good Samaritans. Many of our Labs come from loving homes who are facing life changes such as moving, divorce, death and children. Others have endured lives of neglect and isolation. Despite their origin, each and every Lab that enters rescue is treated as an individual and receives the vetting, socialization and training it needs to be a devoted family companion. With training and structure, a safe and stable environment, and lots of love and playmates, the unquenchable Labby personality always shines through!
