Mission Statement

To engage in and provide recreational, educational and entertainment services to individuals and their families who are interested in a sober and drug free life regardless of race, creed, color, religious and ethnic origin.

To provide a safe environment free of drugs and alcohol for families and the entire community. Membership shall be open for approval by the board to any person willing to participate in a drug or alcohol free environment.

We shall act in collective and cooperative manor with any individuals, clergy, groups,

courts, governmental agencies, hospitals, institutions and other self help programs,

within the scope of The Club for the purpose of those seeking help in recovery.

Description

The Sahara Club II offers an area where AA, NA and dual diagnosis meetings can be held. Our primary purpose is to help those who are or have experienced alcohol, drug or mental health issues to have a safe, drug free, alcohol free environment free of addiction.

We offer a safe place for recovery, activities for the whole family, opportunity to speak to others who have been successful in their sobriety and continue to work on imporving their lives. Completely run by volunteers. One does not have to be in recovery from drugs or alcohol to volunteer, but want to help the community break free from the drugs and alcohol that has affected it.

The Sahara Club 2 is a very friendly place and has a great work environment. There are a variety of things that need done so there is no danger of boredom. It is also very good to be there when there are recovery functions taking place. I like working when they are busy.
