Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
The SEED School of Washington, DC is the first urban public boarding school in the nation, was founded in 1998 with the mission of providing an outstanding education that prepares children, both academically and socially, for success in college. SEED offers an intensive college preparatory program for students in grades six through twelve. The school is open to rising sixth graders who reside in the District of Columbia. Students are admitted by lottery and do not pay tuition.
The SEED Tutoring Enrichment Program is currently seeking individuals or groups to serve as tutors/mentors to Middle and Upper School students. We ask that volunteers:
- Believe that all children have the potential to succeed and are committed to the mission of The SEED School, to prepare children, academically and socially, for success in college.
- Make a commitment to provide targeted instruction to individual or group of students, for a minimum of one hour a week for 8 weeks
- Participate in a Volunteer Orientation
