Mission Statement
San Francisco Bay welcomes Tall Ships from all over the world as they proudly sail under the Golden Gate Bridge and into the hearts of young and old for one week in July 2008! The awe-inspiring vessels will be docked along the waterfront offering the public the unique opportunity to tour, sail and learn.
In addition to the ships' arrival, the entire waterfront will be transformed in to an international nautical attraction celebrating maritime past, present and future. With an abundance of family activities including cultural and musical entertainment, educational programs and events, Festival of Sail San Francisco will enchant and delight the Bay Area. Join us!

From July 24 to July 27, 2008, these awe-inspiring vessels will be docked along the waterfront offering the public the unique opportunity to tour, sail and learn. We hope you will be able to join our volunteer team for as many days as possible. We're going to have fun! Take a minute to ask your friends, family, and colleagues to join us. If you belong to any club or organization, we welcome group participation. We love our volunteers!
Training - All volunteers must attend a mandatory training session. There will be various times available for you choose when you register on the volunteer page. All training will take place at Embarcadero Four at the Lobby Level (one flight up from the Street Level) in downtown San Francisco. Training sessions are ninety minutes.
