Mission Statement

The Joe Dan Mills, Jr. Elementary PTA is committed to promoting family, community and education, ensuring a powerful voice for all children. The PTA emphasizes volunteerism, empowering members to share and enhance advocacy, leadership and communication. PTA enriches student education through cultural programs, curriculum enhancements and community outreach, providing a foundation of support for teachers, staff and administrators.

Description

The Mills PTA is a very active group of parents that are dedicated to ensuring that our kids have the best elementary school experience. The PTA hosts many fun events throughout the school year, such as: Holidays Around the World, Mills Amazing Race, Spring Festival. The PTA also actively fundraises to help pay for annual funds for copiers, technology staff & equipment, Literacy Library, Roaring Readers, Dyslexia programs, as well as school improvements.
