Mission Statement

The American Museum of Peace celebrates the quest for peace in America. AMP documents the ideals, motives and actions of America’s private citizens, civic and religious leaders, even those with military experience who have worked for peace - from the First Americans, colonists and Founders to the present day. By exploring the values and vision of Americans who have worked for peace in the past, the American Museum of Peace hopes to inspire visitors to build a more perfect union and a more peaceful world today.
