Northern Arizona Health - FLAGSTAFF MEDICAL CENTER

Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) is 267 bed and growing, not for profit regional hospital serving Flagstaff and Northern Arizona. FMC is one, of a three hospital system within the Northern Arizona Healthcare Organization. The other two system facilities include Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood Arizona and Sedona Medical Center in Sedona, Arizona. Occupancy at FMC averages 70-75%. We are an American College of Surgeons Level II Trauma Center, and an Arizona Level I Trauma Center. We have also been designated a Stroke Center of Excellence, a Cardiac Center of Excellence, and a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. Northern Arizona Healthcare has a hospital based air ambulance company, Guardian Air stationed at 5 bases throughout Northern Arizona as well as Guardian Ground ambulance service stationed throuhout the Flagstaff region. FMC receives patients from several other air and ground ambulance services stationed throughout the region as well. FMC is also a base station hospital for 16 emergency medical agencies covering approximately 20,000 square miles of Northern Arizona. Flagstaff Emergency Physicians group, (FEP) provides medical direction for our ED and for 2 other EMS air agencies.
